Did I miss something?  Where and why did this issue come up?

Rather than sanctioning a non-member for a rule infraction I have another question relative to the sanctioning of a member for the following:
A rider sues a ride vet. It goes into litigation. The vet’s malpractice insurance represents him/her. AERC is aware but ‘does nothing.’ Doesn’t matter how the case is decided because the insurance company will do what’s in their best interest.
What matters to me is the smaller picture of a rider actually bringing suit against a ride vet but what does this mean for ALL of our rides vets???
Then, does a ride manager have the ‘right to refuse entry’ to the rider who brought the litigation? Does the ride manager who is ‘employing’ this ride vet allowed to refuse entry to this rider in the future? If the answer is ‘no’ the vet could very well walk out, leaving no vet for the entire ride.
