[RC] wild horses - mrsdThe over population of the so called WILD HORSES has become a very expensive boondoggle that has cost the taxpayers of this country lots of bucks. Latest figure for the state of Nevada is 22,000 horses destroying game habitat and denuding the sage brush & grass lands. Horses, if left to their own expertise will eat everything, dig out roots, make such a mess of springs that many of them cease to exist. The true natural animals, Antelopes,Big horn sheep, deer etc. end up not having use of the water and feed that they need. Have you ever turned out two or three horses on an area of untouched sage & native plants. They don't only eat the plants they will dig up the roots and decimate the area. Cows will also cause damage but they don't dig up the roots. If you truly want to help them, pick up twenty or so from the BLM so that they will have room for more of those that are starving to death around Las Vegas and other areas. Just get a thousand people join you and the remaining horses would have it made. I am sure that with your great love of the MUSTANG you will be forever in debt. THINK.
