[RC] Sundowner axles? - Carolyn Burgess

I had the same model but a 2001, I think (the value lite), and never had a problem in the 4 years we owned it.  I have two friends with the same trailer as you have, on has the gooseneck, the other has the bumper pull and the same year (a 2000) and I don't think either of them have had any problems with their trailers.

I have a 2000 2 horse, gooseneck Sundowner with a dressing room. It is the less
expensive style. I do highway miles and carry horses that haul well . I have
had one axle replaced because it was bent. Now,I am told I need both axles
replaced because they are bent, plus brakes burned out, etc.. That includes the
new one. That adds up to 5 axles in 8 years, correct? I was told they changed
the axle style in 2000. The old style axles are "no longer made so these
had to be special ordered". Any one else have problems like this? Am I
being dupped or what?
P.s>: I thought i was having the trailer maintained correctly
