[RC] Ponying - Bruce Weary

Kat said: "Repeat after me: "I will DIE before I will turn loose of the horse I am ponying."

Right.
I can just see my widowed wife and orphaned children at the funeral, saying, "Well, thank God at least the horse survived."

Sorry, but I have to side with Angie, and have ponied many times. There definitely IS a time to let go of the horse when things go awry. It might be a
better middle ground to say, "I won't pony a horse anywhere that if he has to be turned loose there will be any real danger to him. Like on a big open ranch with perimeter fencing." Which is where I do my ponying.

Kat, are you saying that because you are still alive, you have *never* had a ponied horse get loose from you? I remember you having a hell of a time hanging on to Remington on a lead line once. He not only got away from you, but ran all over the place. Bruce
