[RC] Not steep in the shoulder (was: Conformation Opinion) - k s swigart

Personally, I wouldn't describe this horse as being particularly steep
in the shoulder (some people may be making the mistake of judging her
shoulder angle from the pictures where the horse is standing under with
her front feet, quite a lot of the photos are like this). In fact, I
quite like the shoulder angle and am of the opinion that a goodly number
of Arabian horses are too laid back in the shoulder, which makes it very
difficult to get them to raise their shoulder and come up underneath
themsleves.

However, I would be very concerned about the mismatched hoof angles of
the front feet. I know there are plenty of horses that do okay with
this condition and that it can be successfully managed; however, I
wouldn't go out of my way to buy a horse like that.
