Yes, indeed.  And they don't have two different tickets, one only good 
for half the rides, at the same price.

Or are you saying that I can sign up for an LD ride, then ride the 50 
instead?

Ski areas in Colorado, and Water World in Denver, charge a reduced price 
once half the day is over (a half-day ticket) -- despite having the same 
costs in being open all day.
