pulling up a horse "looks" suspicious to officials
especially when that horse is a very heavy favorite-
the gambling revenue powers that be of racing are very
sensitive to any potential race fixing or appearance
of race fixing.  I don't get not bringing attention to
a shoing issue ASAP but since the more recent drug
charge the trainer just had ( which I admit I haven't
read myself yet just saw the internet headline)maybe
it was easier to go with a standard excuse well
accepted and frequently heard at any track- KD is a
class act and not that I would ever own a racehorse
but he would be my "go to" guy- boo hiss to Gary
Stevens ( friend of my X) who jumped right in to slam
him.
