RE: [RC] Anything more available for scratches?? - Daniela Desilets

Hello,

Last year my horse had a very persistent case of scratches, and the desitin mixture worked for a bit and then stopped also.  After dealing with it for months, my horse became very sour about his legs being handled (due to all the scab picking).  After talking to my vet, I used Tolnoxequine on the scratches.  It is actually a thrush treatment, but it's a thick white cream.  I did not have to pick the scabs off, they eventually all came off by themselves and the scratches healed nicely.

Good luck!

Daniela

I know this has been asked before, but..........
I need something new for scratches.  I have tried recipes that have been shared before and they work for a short while and then it seems to no longer be effective.

Any input?
