[RC] Dressing up - Michael Maul

In response to Marsh's "IMHO- If FEI says that at any given ride sanctioned by them all riders must adhere to their dress code there will be influential people in AERC that will push for compliance
Marsh the muleman"

Marsh,

I don't know anyone on the BoD who would push for us(AERC members) to dress up because there is a concurrent FEI event taking place.

We all dress differently. I usually have a very old shirt on that has its share of rips and tears. It's been part of a good many rides and I hesitate to change it. I'm not superstitious but...
I know a hundred mile rider who used to wash up, shave, and change into clean clothes at 70 miles. He said it helped him finish the ride. I know a few - very few - women who apply makeup before riding.

I know a number of other riders who have favorite items of clothes. So don't worry at all about a "dress code" coming for AERC riders. Some dress up because they like to and most others wear what works.

Mike
