Re: [RC] [RC] cool back pad - Trailrite

My husband & I have never had a problem with the Coolback pads working back.  I would make sure that the saddle isn't to tight in front or tilting down to much around the withers.  This makes a pad scoot out in back.  I sell a lot of these pads because they work so well with no problems like I'm hearing about now.  So this was making me wonder about the saddles.

I use a fibrous mesh pad liner.  It keeps the pad clean, keeps it from slipping and affords air circulation to your horse's back.  I use it under my Skito.  I think you can find them at Schneiders and Country Supply.

Depending on the under-surface of your saddle, gluing a strip of rough-side velcro to the bars could work nicely. I currently use this solution with my Specialized and a Woolback pad.
