[RC] New Polar HRM belt for use under saddle? - Sharon Levasseur

1. Regarding Polar Equine HRMs... what the heck is W.I.N.D.? It SEEMS as if maybe it's a new technology for monitors/transmitters... but what does it do?

2. Can anyone point me to a place where I can buy the new Polar HR "Wearlink" transmitter belt that is used under the saddle? (I see from the Running Bear website that there's a model with built-in GPS, but, although that would be nice, I AM NOT spending that kind of money!) I see several different products on the Polar Equine website, and I can't really tell what the differences between them are.

3. Does anyone know for sure whether this new belt-type HR transmitter works with HR monitors sold a few years ago? I would rather avoid buying a new watch if I can, but I really want the new belt transmitter.

Thanks,
-Sharon L. in Maine
