[RC] FEI ride - Myna

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are having an FEI CEI 3*,2*1*and YR competition in Canada on June 30th at the site of the 1999 PAC. It has been added recently so it does not show up on the FEI website yet. As most of you are probably aware FEI is proposing  that horses have to work their way up through one , two and three star rides but it is likely that horses that have already done 3 star rides will be grandfathered in.  So here is an opportunity to get another horse qualified.

The trails are normally not too difficult but we have eliminated some of the more difficult sections in order to make this ride as easy as possible to qualify with CoC's as many horses as possible.  The trails are grassy two track through forest with rolling sand hills. There will be water at least every 8 miles.  All vet checks are in base camp. The ride management and vets are all very experience.  Trails are always well marked. the weather in Manitoba at this time of year is usually quite moderate with high of 80F and lows of 60F.  There is plenty of space for camping with showers and some corrals. There is lots of grass. The trails are very scenic.

There is a weekend of rides planned.  There is a 25/50 AERC ride on June 28th, competitive trail rides on June29th and 25/50/100 FEI/AERC on June 30th.  We are located only 50 miles from the  US Border right in the centre of the continent. All that is required to cross the border with horses is a negative Coggins (good for 6 months)  and a government certified health papers (good for 1 month).

We will be offering an FEI officials level 2 course.  It will be on Sat. afternoon after the 50 mile ride is complete and on Sunday while the competitive is on. So you could take the course and still ride.

I hope I have encouraged some of you to think about coming up to Canada and trying out our trails.  If you would like further information or entry forms please email me and I'll be glad to send them to you.
