Re: [RC] AAA and horse trailers (was heads up...) - Beth WalkerThe point is -- this is the tow truck driver, not AAA, and it is handled outside of any responsibility of AAA. You end up hoping that you get lucky with the driver.I was involved in two separate incidents, one with my truck, and one with someone else's. In both cases, AAA simply said - we will tow the truck, we won't have anything to do with the trailer. Neither of these places was out of the way. One was actually within city limits, one was a breakdown on the highway just outside of a local- area town. Maximum tow distance was under 50 miles in both cases. Didn't matter. In my case, the tow driver did suggest calling my vet, and seeing if they could find someone with a truck to tow the trailer, but that is as far as it went. I got the feeling that, he wanted to take the truck, and leave the trailer - with horse - sitting on the side of the freeway waiting for a tow.... On Mar 31, 2008, at 12:14 PM, k s swigart wrote:
