RE: [RC] saddle fit/friction problem - Bonnie Peralez

<<I see white hairs sprinkled in all along where the panels are resting, in the same shape as the panels.  Is this due to poor saddle fit, or is this a friction and/or heat issue?>>

If the saddle seems to fit well, it could be due to heat. I had a Synergist saddle made for my horse and he would get white hairs in the shape of the panels. I sent it back and had it made a little wider. It still caused white hairs. I was using a gel pad. I switched to a Supracor pad and the white hairs went away and the saddle has been perfect. I guess the gel pad caused too much heat and the Supracor pad breathes.
