I'll have to check this out next time I put it on. The one I have (from Tammi) hooks to the breast collar, so there is no tangling issue. However, there is a finite amount of slack in the setup, so if a horse stumbled and really stretched his neck out, he might run out of room. I'll try to check it out on Caisson this weekend -- I should be able to get him to stretch his neck out really well for a carrot. :)

He has stumbled with this setup on the trail, and I haven't noticed any issues with him hitting the ends of the slack, though he *has* hit the snaps on a couple of occasions when he threw his head up. I'll let you know.
