Re: [RC] VVMarchmadness - Beth Walker

Sigh ... I might just be pulling. Saturday I did a nice, fairly standard training ride with friends, though it was shorter than usual. It was the first 'real' training ride we had done since the Bar-H ride, due to Caisson coming down with a cold. I had also given him the week off after Bar-H because his right front seemed a bit more filled that it should have (vet couldn't find a thing, though). So -- with the time off, and last weeks easy rides (legs looked great), he looked good to go. He did fine - so well that I thought I would try the ride in Sunland this coming weekend.

Sunday -- I hitched up the trailer to head out again, and went to wrap him for the trailer ride. Right front was filled. He isn't off at all, and I can't feel any heat, but something isn't right, so I'm going to call the vet again. Since the original lameness exam didn't show anything, I'm going to see about having an ultrasound done. Regardless - it looks as if my March Madness came to a sudden stop.... I'm bummed.

Well, we're 10 days into the VVmM ride! nice to see we're all pokin' along. Angie's right, if any of those in FITs or Marilyn's 3 day riders happen to enter, they would be instant leaders.
