[RC] mud problems - Jennifer Adam

I personally wouldn't recommend straw as it tends to get very slick - it just seems to get smushed into the mud and then you have a slippery muddy mess. We've put down gravel in our muddy areas and it's really helped. We put down large rock first, smaller gravel, and then pea gravel. But I like the idea of building up the dirt in the shelter and using rubber mats... going to do that in my shelter! :) JMHO
