[RC] Saddles for the odd couple?????? - Kristi Schaaf

Anybody else have long thigh, wide seatbones --(need
flat seat)--I measured on a chair (9" apart)
have a horse with short back, medium wither, well
sprung O shaped horse with elbow only girth groove--

Well, it sounds like you and I (and our horses) could
be related. After reading your post, I measured my
seatbones (have never done that before!) and mine are
'only' 7", but I have a VERY long thigh and a horse
that matches your description. After many many saddle
woes, we have found bliss with a Specialized Saddle (I
have the Trailmaster). It's so balanced and
comfortable for me and for the first time with ANY
saddle my horse is willing to move out because the
saddle stays in place (everything else I tried -
treed, treeless, flex panel - slid forward on him). If
you have more specific questions, you can contact me
at iluvdez at yahoo dot com. Kristi

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
