[RC] swelling of guttural pouches? - PAMELA LANIER

Whenever my arabian is put on a pasture that has short grass in it
the area below his ears and in the throatlatch area will swell. Have had
horses all my life and this is a first for me. Has anyone else ever had
this happen?
No temp, feeling fine and eating everything in sight. Had put him back
there to get him off the round bales. He gets a cough this time of year
unless his hay is soaked. Missed my first ride of the year last year
because of the coughing. That is when we discovered he had to have his
hay soaked and them the coughing would go away.
thanks,
pam
