Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

Hi all. I would just like to offer some hope to those
who are busy with family or jobs. This is a sport you
don't out grow. At least until you cant walk or become
feeble. I have been starting my distance riding career
for the last 5yrs. I have been riding for 42. I now
have all my children raised last year I had to
postpone my rides to take my daughter to different
states to find a teaching job which she did in Fla.
and I was very happy to give her that time even though
it meant another year of waiting. I have ridden in 2
limited distance rides here in Michigan and I have
planned my vacation days around the rides GLDRA have
planned this year. If all goes well and there are no
injuries we will be on our way! So don't get impatient
and spend the time with the family. The rides will be
there and the longer we wait the more we will
appreciate them and probably be better able to afford
