[RC] A New Endurance Ride Concept - sherman

I vote to keep endurance riding a non-spectator sport/hobby!

I met a retired ultra runner, Joanie Bumpus, last night that ran 110
miles in 24 hours doing one mile laps. Another time she did a 100 mile
run on a quarter mile track! I think a person can train their mind for
that, but a horse? Besides, I think that the horse and rider benefit
from going up and down hills, riding twisty, turny trails, Changing
leads/diagonals, using different muscles, etc.

I don't think the spectators would be too interested. At the car races,
you have wild, crazy speeds, spinning out, crashes, fires, etc. Nothing
like that would happen with horses on a track, going at a reasonable
speed, probably not even any bucking or spooking. Naw, too boring for
riders, horses and spectators.
