[RC] differing programs/was Parelli - Jackie Causgrove

Not to be picky; new terms may have been coined but the maneuvers have been around forever; as in dressage; as in maneuvers for war horses; as B.C...........

Nor is speed while performing maneuvers an indicator of ability; nor is not.  Speed hasn't anything to do with the ability to carry out specific maneuvers correctly.
Speed may be an added factor; another variable but that's all.

Nor do I think that even when one is riding at higher, more technical levels, that a one day clinic will do it.
Remember, Olympic riders have trainers and the Olympic riders train regularly with their instructors.

Haowever, again, if the info is out there and better received by others, good.  It's the info that is important and not the package or the specific person.

The simple execution of specific manuevers is NOT a guarantee of knowledge of how to ride. The execution of these manuevers CORRECTLY AT VERY HIGH SPEED is evidence of the ability to ride, really ride. It is not learned in a day, even though clinics are taught in a day. It takes lots of practice. The Foreman Handle is not for beginning riders. It is meant for people who have knowledge of horsemanship and riding skills. It is based on the premise of the balanced ride. These manuevers CAN NOT be executed correctly without an independent seat and independent hands. Monte Foreman based his entire approach on the "Balanced Ride". If you can get a hold of the old Foreman films you will see the difference between top riders of his day executing these manuvers incorrectly and correct. Just a side item, the terms rollback, 360 Flying lead changes, etc were actually coined by Foreman in a series of articles written in Texas Horseman which I think either became Western Horseman or Practical Horseman. I think they are still availbe on request.
