[RC] "Can I coach you" goes a long way.. - Ranelle Rubin

One thing I can say about all of us wanting to help others take better care of their horses is we can do our best work with a good approach.

A lot of Coaching is in the delivery. One of the ladies I coach is now getting all the help I can give her because I first asked her if I could coach her. She wanted to ride with me, had a bunch of issues going on, I ASKED her, "Can I Coach you?", and now is a happy camper...simple as that.

If I had made her feel wrong, or stupid, or in any way insinuated that she did not care about her horse, she would not be open to coaching, and her horse would suffer for it.
