I'd like to see people from different parts of the country, different breeds, different horsanalities trying to prepare and complete at one of the "big ones".

I, too, think the reality Angle might have some attraction. And the lead into the big races is a perfect example (and could be very nicely contrasted to the lead into a Duck 5 day:) -- Last evening, there were endurance riders from France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, US, Malaysia, Argentina, Qatar and Brasil sitting around the lounge - All the languages intermixing in the conversations (happy birthday was sung in 3 languages:) - this ride is a bit different as the >40% required completion rate is high on everyones mind - it makes it much more line one big team. So all are very much pulling together. going to the horses 3 times a day and focused, but not so much on being the winner - but on helping Malaysia secure the WEC by doing a solid ride.

These events typically have a long lead time, months, where a crew could document the preparations, shipping, quarantine, crew organization, etc. etc. And the race. with the right production effort, it would be very entertaining.

(or something like following Jack Begaud's "trailer race" for the FEI title this year. The guy has been riding 100 milers every week-end for 5 months it seems....)?
