Hello,

What types of hosters or other gear do riders who "pack heat" use? I carry
sometimes on some of my conditioning trails but haven't found anything

I use a fanny pack with built-in hidden holster, purchased at the local military supply/gun store store for about $50. I was told that many DEA agents and undercover cops carry this model and I must say it works great for riding too, lies flat against my tummy, doesn't bounce and even has zipper pockets for chapstick, snacks and horse treats.

I have also used a very small beltclip-style holster clipped on the chest strap of my Camelback and that worked fairly well, but it's also highly visible. The fannypack looks like an ordinary fannypack.
