The point was that horse wasn't goint out till 8 AM whereas the 100 mile horse was going out at 6:30. I like to feed about 4 hours before I saddle up. However, I'm quiet, my horse is rather quiet and if my equine neighbors make much of a fuss, I'll make sure they have water and hay.
