RE: [RC] French system - heidi

Why do you need to travel to Florida to practice flat, sand and hot weather.
We don't do that. Many good riders just stay at home to condition their
horses with the going and trails they have at home. I never even trailer my
horse for 200km to go to North of Belgium (flat and sandy) to prepare for
Dubai races.

Leonard, Belgium

THANK YOU for saying that, Leonard. I've long thought that we have been
defeating ourselves at the world level by overpreparation and dragging our
horses all over the place. When we won at a world level, it was because we
trusted the very riders who had brought these top horses along and had peaked
them--we didn't mess with their programs. Now that we take our top riders and
horses and try to re-invent the wheel with them, we are not doing very well.
Hmmmm...

Heidi
