[RC] cold shoulder, different ride times? - heidi larson

A HUGE AMEN to the comments below!!!

heidi larson

PS - 2 days of Steph's rides (50 milers) were won by a
morgan - Kelly's Bodacious, even got a BC on the last day!!
He's wonderful! (And Max Merlich and his mule Junior did
all 5 days!!!) There were lots of walkers, a foxtrotter,
saddlebred and other mixed breeds, all seemed to do pretty
well!

And besides, it is very tiring to the rider to
ride slowly. Unless the rider has a physical limitation,
trotting most of the ride is much less tiring than
walking most of it. The longer you are on the trail,
being exposed to the elements, the more tired you become.
