I don't think it is the ride times that favor Arabians so much as

it is the pulse-down criteria.  And I'm not even really convinced

that the pulse-down criteria favors Arabians.  To me, being a

Morgan person, this is a big unanswered question mark hovering

over everything.

 

I sometimes wonder whether all of the horses performing at

the peak of International competition are really more fit

and/or cardiovascularly gifted.  I wonder if perhaps some just

have something freakishly wrong with their body's response to

oxygen deficit.
