[RC] Ride awards - Lynn WhiteI like ANYTHING that is practical. These include any
clothing item. I haven't paid retail for a t-shirt
since I started this sport. My all time favorite ride
award was a manure fork. It never leaves my camp
truck so I always have a fork to use at ridecamp.
Other things I really appreciate are buckets, hoof
picks, brushes, scrapers, etc. There are these really
cool lids for those five-gallon buckets that can be
soft for a seat and have a logo put on them (great for
out-vet checks). I saw one at the local sports outlet
store. If I put on a ride again I am going to get a
bunch of those made up (Made in the USA). Another
thing I'd really like would be a nice door mat. I
know they are not a very "sexy" item, but they always
get used. With the finish to win attitude, I think it
would be really cool to have a raffle for the bottom
11+ finishers...like a certificate for an oil change
at Jiffy Lube or something. This could be done for
the trail riders too. Kind of an appreciatation for
the magority of riders that show up. Keeps everyone at
the ride awards anyway.
