The comment that Steph's rides are sometimes "sparsely marked" should not be taken as a criticism of how they are marked. She does a fine job on a rather open desert. I particularly do like the number of wrong way signs.

Again a regional thing. If you marked the average ride in the Midwest like Steph does, you would still be hearing complaints at the UMECRA convention the next January. On the other hand, if the Big Horn did as good a job, the riders would think they had died and gone to heaven.

No ride is marked perfectly, and the adequacy of markers depends more on what the rider expects in the region, than on the number of markings needed.
