[RC] Trail Markings - rides2far

This road has NO place to turn off of it for 10+ miles.
There is a person at the intersection to get onto the trail telling
you> which way to go to get onto the road.
How many, how often do you want any kind of trail markings?

I would just REALLY like *something* (even a pile of flour on the road
would do) to let me know I hadn't gone too far on the road. That's the
scarey thing. 10 miles starts feeling like 15 and you consider turning
back to see if you missed the turnoff. I've always said there is *always*
a wrong turn you could make on a trail with no turn offs and it's
"turning back". :-)

I did a 100 where they said the last 10 miles was a big square on gravel
road. They hung 4 glow sticks, one at each turn of the grid. About 3
miles into the first side of t he square a 4-wheeler drove by us, with 4
glowsticks hanging on the back of his 4 wheeler. There were now
absolutely NO markers. Luckily my husband had driven the loop earlier in
the day so he drove ahead of us to the corners and waited with all the
running lights on the van lit up (not easy since it involved getting
around a forest service gate and driving on a rainy dirt road with in a
conversion van with 2 little girls asleep in the back).
