In 2002 I  bought an Arab from a ranch in Montana.  I asked the rancher how 
he happened to be breeding Arabs in Quarter Horse country.  He told me of 
arising at 3:00 AM to ride to a neighbor's ranch 20 miles away to help with 
the cattle.  He also told me that with Arabs he only needed one horse, not a 
remuda of them.  Just like Ranelle's last sentence.
