Re: [RC] [RC] GSFTR - Barbara McCrary

In 2002 I bought an Arab from a ranch in Montana. I asked the rancher how he happened to be breeding Arabs in Quarter Horse country. He told me of arising at 3:00 AM to ride to a neighbor's ranch 20 miles away to help with the cattle. He also told me that with Arabs he only needed one horse, not a remuda of them. Just like Ranelle's last sentence.

I remember being at the ROC in Montana years ago. A cowboy who had to move his cows out of the meadow where ridecamp was talked to us. He said he was amazed at the quality of the horses, and what we were willing to do just to go ride trails. He rode a half Arab himself because he said he didn't have to change horses half way through a day of moving his cows around!
