This horse was not neglected, and got his shots, he just lived in a pasture and was only used for pasture breeding. He was sorta spooky when I first began riding him outside the ring, but he got over that. Sorry, would much prefer younger horse that somebody has taught ground manners, hauled on a regular basis, taken places with horse activity and tied to a trailer for patience, legged up by ponying out in the world.....to me, that is worth a lot.... I can't argue with that, and I don't plan to ever train a horse to saddle again myself. I'm only offering my own experience that a horse started late can make a good endurance horse.
