Re: [RC] Santa Fe Clarification - rides2far

Be careful about anthropomorphizing. We are chilly

I'm chilly at 78 degrees on a thermostat. Josie's horse leaves his shade
with fan and stands in the direct sunlight on days when it's over 100 and
humid...but then he also stands in the rain when it's 40 degrees rather
than stand under the shed. I don't think you can compare how they handle
temps with us at all.

A horse is meant to keep moving though...day in and day out. Their hoof
is a pump, it's a long way from their heart to their feet and back up
again and they should be allowed to move around. A stressed horse has no
business "standing in stocks"...which is just what a trailer would be.
Heard somewhere that these were all stallions. I'm glad I don't have to
worry about them pulling up at any of our rides!
