[RC] Terrified, update - SpottedracerThankyou all for your prayers and kind words.After waiting at the hospital for 24 hours and having multiple tests/scans run, the team of specialists have given us Mom's future prognosis; bleak. She is considered brain dead and now is in a permanent coma. Though she can breath on her own and her weak heart is still going, my MOM is gone. It's just an empty shell there. This is the condition my Mother has always dreaded, has never wanted to live as. My Aunt & Uncle flew in from the west coast at midnight. Since my Aunt is a 40 year veteran head nurse and now works as a case reviewer for a large insurance company, the family has decided to let her handle most of the coming decisions. She will be the one to read Mom's living will and try to have it followed. My Mother is gone but her soul is now trapped. - LP
