Don't freak out...here is what you need to do...

Get some Borax soap.They have it at Krogers grocery store .. and get some 
Calendula oil...fro the health food store

Get a soaking pan ..i use one of the black rubber feed tubs. put in water 
like 5 inches deep ... put in two cups of borax soap... mix

Then clean the hoof with a brush and hoof pick... pur the Calendula oil 
around the frog and then let soak in the Borax water for 15 min.

My horses thrush was gone in to sessions. And his frog peeled a bit after 
that....We here in North Texas has a very wet streak a while back...and my 
bare foot farrier recomended this .
