[RC] National Champion - Nik Isahak AbdullahJohn and Steph ,This is off tangent to the National Champion thread.I saw much of Owyhee country and the Paradise Valley just now on National Geographic crime documentary on Claude Dallas [ the legendary 1970's Vietnam draft dodger ,cowboy ,illegal poacher and serial warden killer all roll into one ] .Wow ! Great open horse country .Your region alone could produce a dozen John Crandell 111 and Heraldics .The veil probably is whether you guys want to embrace the competitive FEI credo fully or just stick to your present leisurely format .And I can definitely see obvious difficulties : you guys have such beautiful countryside ,endurance riding has an entirely different meaning .But then again with such vast resources and geographical diversity ,I am sure you can produce half a dozen of 'freaks' that can beat the hell out of the endurance crazy French ,Aissies or even the petrodollar rich Sheikhs !We used to be world champions in badminton in the 60's and the 70's until the Mainland Chinese fall in love with the game .Not difficult to find some 'freaks' from 1 billion people who can hit a shuttlecock at a 60 mph even in their sleep ! See you guys in Terengganu this November .
