The funny thing is, they now have COMPETITIONS for people just like that.

If they are having fun with their horse, and the horse is happy, and
being a partner.. then who cares if they ride or not? People need to
be safe and have fun with their horses... there are a lot of New to
horse people, and if they are not having fun and safe while with their
horse, then they usually get out of horses...

I happen to fall into the "have ridden since I was 3 Category", I will
be 50 this year... horses are second nature to me... I study PNH to
better my skills and cause I happen to love watching horses... I use
to enjoy shows, but not now, not knowing what I know happens to them
before, during and after a show, to most of them anyway... So,
instead, I guess I watch Pat and Linda... Honestly, I just figured
this out, while writing this post...

I have no desire to get my Levels Strings.. That is not why I study
it... I like watching horses change from total brats, to well behaved
partners, who can do what they are asked, on the ground or from their
back... I like knowing that people are being taught Safer, ways to be
a partner with a horse, I think it is great that people are learning
to do it themselves in a fun creative way for them, as well as the
horse, it is not about the Tasks, it is really about communication
with your horse... Some people do not get that... they are either to
hard on a horse, or to easy on a horse...

You gota have that relationship in place... to get it right, there has
to be balance...
