That's entirely the point.  With an entry fee of $3500 - $4500 you make sure of the facts.  If you were about to pay that much for a saddle or a horse, wouldn't you KNOW the refund policy? 
 
Earlier, people DID get their money back for the GSFR.  It's basically down to the wire now.  Expenses had to be met.  RM was counting on a certain number of entries.   The only thing these people can do now is sell their entry to someone else willing to pay that kind of money.
