as in our area, these
folks think they are above the law!
This is such a pervasive problem in general and sadly, our sport is not immune to these selfish people and their obnoxious and rather stupid behavior. I ride our older stallion on occasion :) and anyone who has ever met him knows what a kind and obedient fellow he is. So of course it occurs to me that when someone falls off a horse and their horse goes screaming by us, it can be - has ben a little unsettling. But to think that  some dumb cluck would deliberately turn a horse loose on traveled trails and make this possibility a reality for me and my guy - REALLY pisses me off.  None of our mares  particularly like a loose horse whizzing past them - they seem to know the diff between a rider on a horse and a loose horse. Our stallion, while being without doubt the quietest of our horses, would no doubt also be the biggest liability issue should someone choose to do such an inane thing around us.

Bottom line is that some people think their poop don't stink and that the rules do not apply to them - that they are more important and we should just get outta their way. I think not. I guess when God was passing out the brains these dorks thought He said trains and said "thanks, I'll catch the next one!"
