Anyone who wants to reply, please do it on the list, lots of us are 
looking for the next, best place!  I'm not an Oregonian, Marlene, but I 
know something about the state.  The area around Bend offers what you're 
looking for.  Bend is pricey but surrounding areas, from what I 
understand, are not so.
