[RC] WEC & Sponging question - rides2far

I wonder how that would work. Don't Olympians have to be amateur >
athletes?> I'm thinking you should take it pro right from the get go. You
could > sell> franchises to certain very large cities and sell
logo-sponges and > have> scantily clad sponging cheerleaders.

Nah, the Olympic form of "Amateur" sport is to pay huge amounts of money
to the Olympic Committee to be the *Official* sponge of the Olympics! I
guess it will work the same for the WEC in Kentucky. For the sake of ESPN
it needs a catchy name...like..."the Horse Pasture Hoopla" or something
to give you a good visual image of what the course looks like. The
announcers can discuss the dangers of the course, like accidently finding
an old fence row and your horse going up to his knee in it at a gallop
(I've seen it happen there)...and then...there's the dreaded "Stobs from
the mowed corn field"...boy, this course is going to give me bad dreams!
