Re: [RC] 101degrees -old horse - rides2far@xxxxxxxx

As for heat, we have 3 months temps over 100 degrees here in
Arizona.

When I did the ride out there with Bruce he kept asking me if how I
felt about the heat, but I didn't get hot. I could feel it on my
neck, but that was kinda it. Very different than what we've got out
here right now. They did finally get me with the altitude though. >g<

How you know you're in Georgia:

You keep putting on dry shirts throughout the day, and the ones you
take off still stay damp.

Your girth has been wet since May.

Your saddle pad weighs three times what it weighs in the winter.

You use your windshield wipers early in the morning and late at
night, but it's not raining.

You always have that "healthy glow"...just don't let anyone stand
downwind..oh yeah, what wind?

Your (white) gray horse appears to have the markings he had when he
was young because the black & pink skin show through when he's
sweaty...which is always.

The cats have moved under the horse trailer permanently.

Walking back into the air conditioning feels like diving into an icey
pool!

People ask if I'm mad we're going back to school this week. Heck now!
We get a fall break in October because of going back so early. I'll
trade a week of October for this any day!
