[RC] Starving horses in Canada - Randy or Cheryl Winter

From a friend who read about the starving horses in Canada.  I am forwarding

her message to me.

Message as follows:

   I don't know of you read the post on RC about the 30 head of Morgan
horses starving in Alberta, Canada. I've been upset since yesterday morning.
I dealt with this very thing thru the Ohio Horseman's Council and was part
of a group that would actually persuade owners to give up the animals then
find volunteers to take in abandoned/staved/abused horses. I actually had
two under my care. Since I cannot post to RC may I impose on one of you to
first ask if there is a Canadian Horse Council, then ask this person to
contact the local branch? I've been wracking my little pea brain about this
and I don't think, that due to law changes regarding our borders, that the
American side can effectively render aid in this instance. This just breaks
my heart
