[RC] Can you fit an "0" gaiter to a "00" EZ boot? - Lucy Chaplin Trumbull

My pone has a flat tyre at the moment (farrier due in the
morning), so I tried him out in an EZ boot on Sunday. Since
the foot was a little torn up, I was able to smoosh him into
a "00" boot, but the gaiter didn't seem big enough around
the back of his foot.

(I tried him in an "0" boot, but don't have one with a gaiter,
and it came off after about five laps on the lunge).

At the end of a two-hour walking ride, the "00" boot stayed
on fine and the heel strap didn't seem to be causing a
problem, but he definitely had rub marks on the backs of
his heel bulbs from the pressure of the too-tight gaiter.

I can't wrap his foot, since that would be the equivalent
of putting thick socks on to make an already-tight shoe
fit, but wondered if I could retrofit the "00" boot with
a larger "0" gaiter? Is this possible, or would I just end
up with a big gap around the bottom at the back?

...Just pondering on potential spare tyres for the future.

Thx
