Some people may find that this is the wrong and probably worst thing to do but.....I go in the pasture and catch my horse and while he is next to me on a lead rope I will jump around and wave my arms and yell "Boo!" Sounds weird. I did it the first time and he freaked then I verbally let him know he was safe. Then I waited a couple of days and did it again. Etc. I was at the point where I did it every day. Now he is bomb proof.
