[RC] [RC] Barefoot or not, it's getting really, really old - Dream Weaver


That "calloused soles" thing drives me particularly
ape, for one of my horses no amount of "conditioning" of his hooves,
barefoot, will solve his flat sole problem!  And then people will
come back and say, your trimmer is obviously no good, or you need to
condition the sole on rocks/gravel, or...

Like Carolyn said, it's about the horse.  Not my ego, although I
absolutely loved riding him barefoot, he was surefooted but very
ouchy despite more than a year barefoot with little sole removal.

Hi Lynn - actually I can give you some tips on a solution that worked for one of my horses with that same problem. ;-) Just send me an email and I'll reply privately so as to not clutter the list.
