The flip side of that argument is that seeing the USEF allow something that is so CLEARLY damaging takes away the credibility that the only drugs that they allow are "safe" in competition.  That doesn't take away from your very valid point, Ed--just looks at it from a different angle.

While trying to influence behind the scenes is laudable, many may conclude that we support, or at least condone this type of rule by the USEF. 

 

We saw that in the recent arguments for ulcer meds on the AERC list.  Be prepared for people asserting that the new NSAIDS are OK because the USEF allows them.
