[RC] Question for Ride Managers- beet pulp - Sheila_LarsenI don't know about the east coast but here on the west coast ride managers provide a bran mash instead of beet pulp. I personally don't know many people that feed bran mashes very often if at all, but most do feed beet pulp. The cost is about the same so I am curious why bran instead of beet pulp. My personal interest is neither of my horses are very enthralled with bran, well actually one of my horses won't eat it at all, so I end up trying to get some beet pulp to the out of camp vet checks. Since bran isn't balanced and beet pulp is more balance, I asked an endurance vet if he had any idea (was I missing knowledge of some benefit). He said no old habits just die hard. So one vote for beet pulp instead of bran. Thanks, Sheila The wind flew. God told to wind to condense itself and out of the flurry came the horse. But with the spark of spirit the horse flew by the wind itself. - Marguerite Henry's King of the Wind =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
